The Simple Things
The thing that I truly cherish about this age is that everything is fun for Asha. She had the best time on Friday, washing the car.
She had her own sponge, and copious amounts of soapy water...
She worked really hard, until she realised that it was more fun to soap up the surrounding plants. Then she gave up and I had to finish the task alone. The bottlebrush looks beautiful though...
Saturday morning's tiny dancer...
Check out the matching Volley's..
Don't you wish that everything was this fun? One of the joys of motherhood is to hear the shriek of a 2 year old thinking you are the funniest thing ever. I am sure in 3 years she will think I am a total loser, but for now, I am the Queen of Cool...
Asha has never looked like me...She has always looked like a clone of her Dad or Aunt, and now, she officially looks like my mother, aged 2....crazy..I am sure that eventually she will look somewhat slightly like me. Or I will wait for the next one...I am sure it will be short, olive skinned, with dark hair...
I was wondering if Asha will read this thing, or will I be scrolling through it in 15 years time, thinking that she was the perfect child...As this whole thing is really positive...Asha is on the whole a fantastic child, but she is not perfect. She has big teeth, and when she is really really frustrated, and when she does not want to share with her friends, she will occasionally bite. As a parent, it is the worst thing. You feel like your child is the devil and will be still biting at 12. I know it is a phase, which thankfully only occurs rarely, but still, I spend more than my fare share of time thinking about it.
We had a lovely visit to Chon and Dan's today. There baby girl (so Asha reckons) is nearly here. Excitement.
