And then there were two....

He came on the last day of 2009, one of the worst year's on record, bringing a little ray of sunshine to an otherwise pretty ugly year.....His name is Eamon Gregory...

He burst into the world very quickly, with a frown on his face....and a squeaky grunt that continued for 3 days...slowly forcing the amniotic fluid from his tiny lungs..

All measurements were perfect....at least a kilo bigger than his sister, Asha...

There were no bits of his back missing, thank goodness...

The very proud big sister Asha...note the frown firmly attached to Eamon's face...he was still spewing amniotic fluid at this point...

Less than 48 hours later, we are leaving the hospital...

It has been an interesting adjustment having two little ones. The first 2 weeks, we had NO IDEA what we were doing. There were many a failed bed time attempt and sad faces all round. Asha tended to vibrate with excitement/anger when she kissed Eamon in the early days...

In cot, with frown firmly in place.

When they were handing out babies, Eamon lined up with all the other babies and said "Please can I have reflux which will make me cry, and fart, and belch constantly...ohhh and can you please add in explosive poos? Thanks"....

Ahh, but the level of cuteness that this one has is hard to deny. He is a lovely boy who is much loved...

Bath time at home

I was not going to start writing this again....I stopped with Asha as life got very hectic...however I do really enjoy looking back over the early years with Asha...and am sure she will too...so now I will write about the two of them...

Notable moments from the past 6 weeks:

- Asha sitting around with her hands over her ears saying "breastfeed him Mum" or "put him to bed"
- Being weed on constantly...who knew that it could go so far
- CONSTANT cuddles from this one. Direct opposite to Asha...
- Confusion and wonder at trying to master two kids...
- In the last couple of weeks, Asha wanting to "look at Eamon" and have "Eamon next to me"
- THE REFLUX: oh hell it is bad. We are still in reflux hell. He is is so much pain at times...his little eyes look up at you pleading, but alas, there is nothing that can be done
- Watching the osteopath wrestle with Eamon when he has his treatments
- Having a cup of tea when they are both in bed asleep....

So, I will attempt to write here often....Stay tuned...

BRANDON HAD THE WORST REFLUX. WE DIDN'T GET IT FIXED UNTIL HE WAS ALMOST TWO AND THEY REALIZED WHAT IT WAS, THEY GAVE HIM CHILDRENS PREVACID IN LITTLE DISSOLVABLE PILLS THAT I DISSOLVED IN WATER AND THEN GAVE HIM IN A MEDICINE DROPPER. IT WORKED IMMEDIATELY. IT WAS SO HARD ALWAYS HAVING TO PUT A BIB ON HIM IN THE CAR OR THE BED OR ANYWHERE BECAUSE HE WOULD VOMIT CONSTANTLY AFTER EVERY FEEDING, IN HIS SLEEP ETC.HE STARTED ON MYLECON FOR GAS WHEN HE WAS 18 HOURS OLD. POOR THING. MAYBE LOOK INTO THE PREVACID AND AT LEAST GET SOME MYLECON FOR HIS TUMMY
