Where is all my time?
Asha at KindyFarm. She absolutely loved it. She was only supposed to be there for her session of 30 minutes....however she loved it so much that she stayed for the same session four times...we left her preschool two hours later...groan...
Eamon: Age 5 months
In the Bumbo
I don't know where all my time has gone....I have suddenly woken up and the calender tells me that Eamon is nearly 6 months! Next week to be exact. Eamon is a smiling, laughing boy with huge big blue eyes and a ready grin.
Eamon is able to roll from one side to the other and he can roll onto his front, but he can't get back and is often found head first in some mat somewhere grunting for attention.
We are supposed to be feeding him soon. I must admit, this one is getting sooked far more than Asha. He is picked up a lot more (probably to avoid hearing him scream, and so I can hear Asha!!) and is generally a lot more shy than his big sister. And he refuses point blank to drink from a bottle.
Asha came out of the womb ready to be held by anyone, talk to anyone and generally have an audience of willing clappers...this one...a little bit more shy. He is ready to smile straight away, but is a bit more tentative when seeing people he does not know.
We are on the move again. I think we like the drama.
Asha is enjoying her role as a big sister. She is a gentle soul and for that I am very grateful. He always is asking where he is and when I was taking her out the other day and Guy was looking after Eamon, she turned around and sternly told him "Look after Eamon well, Dad".
I was looking at what Asha could do at Eamon's age. It is so hard not to compare kids. Eamon is a funny one and tends to go rigid when he does not want to do something. His godfather calls him, "The Plank" or "Plankie". Consequently, when we are trying to practice sitting, he will shoot his legs out and go as stiff as a board and crash down on his back.
We are struggling with flu's and colds again. It seems like we get through one and then catch some other dreaded thing.
We have been slack on the photo taking of late...will have to get back into it after the move....
